30 Day Ouch!

Today, was my second day of Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred. At first I thought this workout would be another sissy dvd, that guarantees x,y and z. However, this is a WORKOUT! 20 minutes, just 20 minutes and I am in PAIN and dripping with sweat. Yesterday I ran 3 miles and then did the workout and I was soaked. I thought most the sweat was from my run, but today I did the workout before anything else...still dripping. Who knows how much I will lose, if anything, but I will give you inches and pounds lost if there are in at the end of 30 days! So if you are looking for a quick workout that will leave you in pain, this would be the workout for you...give it a try and let me know what you think. Also, if you have any other workout ideas of good workouts let me know that as well. It truly is no wonder those people on the Biggest loser lose so much weight, if I am dripping and in pain after twenty minutes, after 6-8 hours I would hope some weight would come off. Ah, another workout program, here we go again!

Thank goodness, I was starting to think I was a big wuss! Any kind of cardio leaves me wiped though! I should start checking inches - I think this has had a much bigger impact there than in my actual weight...we'll see, though. I enjoy doing this much more than straight cardio, and I've been more diligent with this too...so that's good enough for me.

YESSSSS I love these workouts, Lo! Tonight I'm doing Level 2 then Level 1 back to back. (Double ouch.) ALSO, there are a couple new Jillian DVDs that just came out, and both are available on Comcast OnDemand (and maybe Brighthouse too, if that's what you have). They're both longer -- like 50 min -- one is more cardio with lots of plyometrics and no dumbbells, and the other is more strength with the ol' dumbbells and a bunch of those "compound strength moves" she's so fond of. They're painful, but I think it's nice to be able to get your ass kicked without even having to leave the house!

Good for you girl! SHe has got some GREAT workouts! I am doing her 30 day Make the Cut, and WOW talk about intense. Now I know why the Biggest Loser Contestants cry!

And I hear you on the sweat thing. I think I sweat more during her workout than when I ran 8 miles!!!
